A. work, stationed at Camp Gordon, has been made an army chaplain. /P/ Mr. James is a great preacher, a consecrated man as well, and his many friends predict that he will do good work among the soldiers.

James will be interested to know that he will hereafter occupy a chair in Emory College, Atlanta. Dr. James was pastor of the Greensboro Methodist church for sever years, leaving here to serve his country with the "Y" in France. He made a great many friends here, who appreciate his unusual intellect and scholarly attain- his new field [sic].

James, who have been spending several weeks on a vacation tour, at Lake Junaluska, North Carolina, have returned to their home in Opelika. Dr. James is the popular pastor of the First Methodist Church. He entered upon the active discharge of his duties as minister of this church on his return home and conducted the prayer services Wednesday evening. Dr. James is an able, eloquent and learned divine and is beloved by everyone here, regardless of denominational lines.
