  • The following appeared on 13 October 1953 in The Baytown Sun: Funeral services for Tom McCune will be held Tuesday at the Baptist church in Richards, Tex.
         McCune, formerly of Baytown, died in the Veterans’ hospital in Houston Sunday. He had been in the hospital for about three years. He came to Baytown in 1922 and lived in the Baltimore hotel while here.
         Survivors include four brothers, Teague, John Ollie, Scott and Howard McCune, all of Richards.
