- The following appeared in the Kiel Record: In his home on Fourth Street, on Sunday morning at about 4:00 o'clock, Mr. Georg Mueller, a long time and well known resident of Kiel, died after a six month long illness with heart fluctuations. The deceased was born on October 20, 1836 in Neiderfaulheim, Hessen-Darmstad, Germany and came to America at the age of 17 years with his parents. They settled in the Town of Rhine, where Mr. Mueller married Maria Ellebach in 1860, but she died two years later. The marriage produced one child. On May 20, 1867 he married a second time, to Wilhelmina Schmidt and the pair moved to a farm in the Town of Schleswig. This marriage produced just one child.
For the past 22 years Mr. Mueller has lived with his wife in Kiel. The deceased leaves behind, besides his wife, one daughter, one stepdaughter, two sisters, 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. The burial took place on Tuesday afternoon from the home of the deceased to the Kiel Cemetery. Pastor Rech (St. Peter's) officiated. - The following appeared on 8 January 1916 in the Plymouth Post: (Sheboygan) As Mrs. Charles Schwartz came to her home on Sunday evening she found her 78 year old mother, Mrs. Wilhelmine Mueller hanging from a heating pipe in the bathroom of her home. The suicide victim, Mrs. Mueller was a long time resident of Kiel and lived here with her daughter for 10 months. Her husband George Mueller died two years ago. She is survived by one daughter. The body was taken to the Ballhorn Funeral Home and burial will be in a Kiel Cemetery.
