- Daniel Curtiss Haynes and Maria DeVeaux Woodruff appeared in the 2 April 1871 first national census of Canada in St. Catharines, Lincoln County, Ontario. Other members of the household included Edward Woodruff. Also in the household was one female servant, and Edward H. Woodruff (age 11), but whether he was the son of Edward or of his brother Henry is not yet known.
