Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Alta M. Broadbrooks Cady; two sons, Donald of Liverpool and Percy L. Cady Jr. of Darien Center; two daughters, Mrs. Genevieve Newcombe of Hillier, Ont., Canada, and Mrs. Beatrice Ware of Pittsburgh, Pa; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be at the convenience of the family at the Greenleaf Funeral Home, 503 W. Onondaga St., the Rev. John Heister officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. - The following appeared on 29 May 1999 in the Springfield Union-News: (Pelham) Beatrice (Cady) Ware, 82, of Boyden Road, died Wednesday at home. Born in Syracuse, N.Y., she moved here in 1991. She was a leader in the Cub Scouts, Brownie Scouts and Girl Scouts. Her husband, George A. Ware Jr., died in 1973. She leaves a son, George A. III of Whittier, N.C; three daughters, Nancy M. Griest of Columbiaville, Mich., Susan E. Ware of Washington, D.C., and Cynthia "Lennie" Ware of Pelham; a sister, Genvieve Newcombe of Canada; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Amherst Funeral Home is in charge.
