- The following appeared on 12 May 1933 in The Sandusky Star-Journal: Mrs. T. C. Millar. Mrs. Emma Hoffman Millar, wife of Thomas C. Millar, a member of the contracting firm of Zeiher and Millar, died Thursday evening at 5:45 o'clock at the family residence, 404 Taylor-st, aged 44 years, six months and 16 days.
Mrs. Millar had been in failing health for some time past but her condition had been serious only since Monday. Mrs. Millar was well-known and highly respected and her death will come as a great shock to her wide circle of friends and acquaintances. She had been a member of St. Paul's English Lutheran Church and also a member of Eleanor Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are her husband, one son, Kenneth Millar; her mother, Mrs. Emma Hoffman; one grandchild; and one brother, Fred Hoffman, all of Sandusky and many other more distant relatives.
The body was taken to the Quick Funeral Home. Friday afternoon it was returned to the residence where friends may call and where funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. J. A. Griffith officiating. Interment will be made in the family lot in Oakland Cemetery.
Mrs. Millar was a member of the Sandusky High School graduating class of 1907.
