Fenton, funeral director. - The following appeared on 27 September 1923 in Sacramento Union: [Died] Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock for Mrs. H. J. Nicolaus, age 52 years, who died at her home near the Union House Wednesday. Mrs. Nicolaus was well known in Sacramento county, her husband having been an extensive rancher for a number of years. She is survived by her husband, six sons, Earl, George, Charles, Lester, Henry Jr., and Laurence; two daughters, Elva Nicolaus and Mrs. Walter Pasco; four sisters, Miss Lena Harms, Mrs. Sofa Dosch, Mrs. Anna Waite and Mrs. Lizzie Stall, and a brother, Henry Harms.
