  • George Kilberer was born circa 1873 in New York.
  • Johannes Kilberer and Ursula Boos appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1880 in Suspension Bridge, Niagara County, New York. Other members of the household included George Kilberer, John Kilberer, Julianna Christina Kilberer, Anna D. Kilberer and Maria Kilberer.
  • The following appeared on 22 July 1895 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: George Kilberer, a young man aged about 23 years, and son of John Kilberer, of Pierce avenue, had a narrow escape from instant death about 8 o'clock last evening, when he fell over the high bank at the Pleasure ground onto the rocks over 60 feet below. Kilberer, in company with three other men, was near the edge of the bank, when he lost his balance and fell over. After striking the slope he rolled some 20 feet toward the river. /P/ Chief Dinan was notified of the accident and sent Officer Batts to go with John McCloy, of the inclined railway, and row down the river to where Kilberer lay. Before they reached there, however, several men had descended by means of an old ladder and had hoisted Kilberer to the top of the bluff with a rope. Dr. Talbot attended the man and found he had sustained a bad scalp wound, and was suffering from brain trouble. It will be several days before the extent of his injuries can be determined.

  • The following appeared on 25 July 1895 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: George Kilberer, the young man who fell over the bank at the Pleasure Ground on Sunday evening, died last night about 8:15 o'clock from the result of his injuries. /P/ The unfortunate man became delirious on the morning following the day of his fall and has brown continually worse until his death last night. While he was delirious from the injuries to his head internal injuries were the direct cause of his death. The deceased is a son of John Kilberer of Pierce avenue and leaves besides his parents, a sister, Miss Anna Kilberer, and a brother, Jacob Kilberer, all of this city. /P/ The funeral will be held tomorrow after noon at 2 o'clock from the house.
  • The following appeared on 26 July 1895 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: The funeral of George Kilberer, who died from injuries received by falling over the bank, was held at 2 o'clock this afternoon from the house. Burial took place in Oakwood cemetery.
