- Dock Davis appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1870 in Clinton PO, DeWitt County, Texas, enumerated next to the household of Granville and Anna DeMent, where Serilla Blackwell was living. He is identified as Dock Davis, age 30. Other members of the household included Minerva Washington, William Davis, Cora Davis, Henry Davis and Amanda (?). Also in the household are Kitty Davis (21) and Robert Davis (9), and identified with the surname Washington are William (age 8) and Cora (10), Henry (5) and Minerva (3), as well as Amanda Washington (20), who apparently became Dock's wife in 1886 -- and perhaps some of these children were hers and not Dock Davis's (?)
- Amanda (?) appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1880 in DeWitt County, Texas, enumerated not far from the households of Caroline Blackwell and Dock Davis.. Other members of the household included Minerva Washington.
