- The following appeared on 6 December 1910 in the Daily Press: Following a long and painful illness, Mrs. Elizabeth Bacon Remington, 52 years old, the wife of Mr. Cornelius G. Remington, a Hampton architect, died in her residence, 173 Linden Avenue, at 3 o'clock yesterday morning. Mrs. Remington was a sufferer with an incurable disease and her death had been expected for the past ten days by the members of her family.
Mrs. Remington was born in Westport, NY, but came here fourteen years ago. She had made a number of friends by her many attractive qualities and was a member of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church at Old Point. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Louisa C. Bacon, of Westport, and three sisters, who also live in New York.
Simple funeral services were conducted from the residence at 5:30 o'clock last evening and later the remains were taken to Old Point and sent to Westport for burial. Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Taylor, Mr. Remington and Miss Catherine Remington accompanied the body to New York.
The following acted as pallbearers; Messrs. J. J. Loughran, Frank G. Roche, C. W. Betts, Frank L. Small and Messrs. Murphy and Macklin, of Newport News. - Charles T. Taylor and Maude C. Remington appeared in the US federal census of 1 January 1920 in Hampton, Virginia, at 331 Armstead Avenue. Other members of the household included Charles T. Taylor Jr., John Remington Taylor and James C. Taylor.

- The following appeared on 2 June 1935 in the Richmond Times-Dispatch: (Newport News, June 1) Cornelius G. Remington, 84, prominent Hampton architect and contractor, died last night in a Hampton hospital after an illness of several weeks. [:CR;] Mr. Remington came to Hampton in 1897 and was associated for many years with George E. Peabody as educator and financier in connection with the Huntington industrial work at Hampton Institute. Subsequently he engaged in the contracting and architectuarl business in Hampton and many of the homes and business houses in the lower Peninsula were designed by him. He was born in Danby, Vt., February 21, 1849. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C. T. Taylor of Hampton and Mrs. J. R. Regan of Pittsburgh. [:CR;] Funeral services will be conducted at Westport, Lake Champlain, New York.
