- She married Norman Meitz on 13 April 1934 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York, by license issued the same day, with clergyman M. C. Kretzmann officiating.
- The following appeared on 8 July 1935 in The Niagara Falls Gazette: Mrs. Catherine Schrock, 59 years old, wife of John Schrock, 1234 Hyde Park boulevard, died at her home at 8 o'clock last night, after an illness of several years. Mrs. Schrock had been a resident of this city for the past 40 years.
Surviving her, besides her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Meltz, of this city; three sisters, Mrs. Thomas Richardson, of Philadelphia; Mrs. Fred Seams and Mrs. John Thomas, of Reading, Pa; two brothers, Grif Griffith, of Norristown, Pa., and Jenkins Griffith of Mahanoy City, Pa.
The funeral will be held from the Cornell and Daggett funeral chapel, 1617 Main street, at 3 p. m. today, with interment in Mahanoy City, Pa.
Mrs. Schrock was a member of the ladies' auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. - Norman Meitz and Evelyn S. Schrock appeared in the US federal census of 1 April 1940 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York, at 717 Eighty-Fifth Street. Also in the household was Evelyn's son Robert Channing (age 15.)
