• Catherine M. Lyons was born on 25 November 1919 in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey.
• She married Edward J. Stajek, son of Martin Stajek and Lottie (?).
• William Francis Lyons and Anna H. Walsh appeared in the US federal census of 1 April 1940 in Harrison, Hudson County, New Jersey, at 5 South Third Street. Other members of the household included Catherine M. Lyons, Thomas W. Lyons and Margaret Lyons. Also in the household were daughters Mary (age 9) and Anna (7.)
• She was employed as a spinner in a flax mill, acording to the 1940 census.
• Catherine M. Lyons became a widow at the 24 October 1993 death of her husband Edward J. Stajek.
• Catherine M. Lyons died on 19 August 2014 at age 94 in Toms River, Ocean County, New Jersey, at her residence.
• She was interred at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River, Ocean County, New Jersey.
• The following appeared on 21 August 2014 in the Asbury Park Press: Catherine Stajek, 94, of Toms River, passed on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, at her home. Born in Newark, she lived in Kearny before moving to Toms River in 1975. Catherine was an inspector for RCA in Harrison for many years before her retirement in 1975. She was a parishioner of St. Luke R.C. Church, Toms River, a member of the Holiday City Women's Club and the Mummers.
       She is predeceased by her husband, Edward, who passed in 1993; her brother, Thomas Lyons, and Margaret Lyons. She is survived by her son, Robert and his wife Judy; her two daughters, Judith and her husband Stephen Gepp and Patricia and her husband Fred Vorwerk. She also leaves three sisters, Mary Kemprowski, Anna Carfagno and Rita Lyons-Henry and her 6 grandchildren.
       Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22 at St. Luke R.C. Church, 1674 Old Freehold Road, Toms River. Entombment to follow Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River. Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, Toms River, is in charge of arrangements.
