  • She was born in December 1843 in Canada West (later Ontario), Canada.
  • She married James Wilson Rodgers, son of Robert Rodgers and Margaret Brown, on 15 July 1869 in Belleville, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada, by license, with G. R. Sanderson officiating. At the time of their marriage, the groom was a medical student residing in Stirling, and the bride was living in Belleville.
  • Caroline Amelia Neal became a widow at the between 1881 and 1891 death of her husband James Wilson Rodgers.
  • Prior to emigration, the family's surname is recorded as "Rodgers" in all records, and after their arrival in the United States, the surname consistently is recorded as "Rogers."
