Charles Warren Groesbeck

- Charles Warren Groesbeck was born on 21 May 1920 in Lapeer County, Michigan.
- He married Wilma Jean Hannigan, daughter of Frederick Hamilton Hannigan, on 12 June 1945 in Lucas County, Ohio, by license issued the same day, with R. O. Stevens, JP, officiating. At the time of their marriage, the bride was living in Erie, Michigan, and the groom in Flint.
- Charles Warren Groesbeck died on 10 December 1988 at age 68 in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio, at Mercy Hospital.
- The following appeared on 12 December 1988 in The Monroe Evening News: (Erie) Charles Warren Groesbeck, 68, of Strasburg Rd., who retired in 1978 from Hess Cartage Co. where he had been a truck driver for 30 years, died at 7 a.m. Saturday in Mercy Hospital, Toledo. He had been ill for some time.
There will be no visitation or services. A private memorial service will be held later. The Bennett Funeral Home, Erie, is in charge of arrangements.
Born May 21, 1920 in Lapeer County, he was the son of Oscar and Gladys Delling Groesbeck.
He served in the Army during World II, from October, 1941, to 1943.
He was a member of the Floral City Chapter 79, Disabled American Veterans, and Teamsters Local 299, Toledo.
Surviving are 4 sons, Charles Jr., Gary and Clinton, all of Erie, and John of Oregon, Ohio; 2 daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Sandra) Smith of Erie, and Mrs. Lee (Barbara) Fisher of Eden, Ohio; 3 sisters, Mrs. Iva Judd of Winter Haven, Fla; Mrs. Myrtle Stubbs and Mrs. Audry Lee, both of Truth or Consequences, N.M., and 14 grandchildren.
