The son of Frederick and Sophia (Leslie) Hannigan, he was born June 18, 1930, in Toledo. He Married Katholeen Iott, July 21, 1953, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Erie.
A Temperance area resident for 30 years, Mr. Hannigan was employed as a cement mason for Rudolph-Libbe Corp. in Walbridge, Ohio, and previously for Vincent Herr Co. in Sylvania, Ohio. He was an Army corporal stationed in Japan during the Korean War. He was a member of Cement Masons Local 886.
Surviving are his wife; his father Frederick and step-mother, Mabel Hannigan of Holland, Ohio; six sons, Robert, Thomas, Dennis, David, Fredrick and Patrick, all of Temperance; two daughters, Mrs. David (Maryann) Bonn of Toledo and Peggy Hannigan at home; a brother, Eddie of Woodland Hills, Calif., and a sister, Pat Groesbeck of Temperance. - The following appeared in The Monroe Evening News: (Temperance) Bearers for Freddie Hannigan, 50, of 502 E. Sterns Rd., who died Sunday in St. Vincent Hospital, Toledo, were Hadley DeGue, James Salisbury, John Mezaros, James Dusseau, James Ginther, Gary Groesbeck, David Bonn and Dick Boehme.
