Mr. Raps, who is in charge of the affairs of St. Peter's Episcopal church during the absence of the rector, the Rev. Dr. Philip W. Mosher. Both of the applicants said they had previous marriages but their former mates had died.

- The following appeared on 1 February 1945 in The Niagara Falls Gazette: Harry S. Hummel, 53, of 2220 Ontario avenue, died unexpectedly at his home this morning, victim of a heart ailment. He was a native of Buffalo, had resided here 32 years and was employed as a pressman by the American Sales Book plant. He was a member of the Niagara River Lodge, No. 785 F. and A.M.
Surviving Mr. Hummel are his wife, Mrs. Gladys Irene Hummel; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Weaver and Mrs. Donald Wagner, of this city, and Mrs. Charles Holley, of Waverly, N.Y; his mother, Mrs. George Rushton, of this city, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were being completed this afternoon. - The following appeared on 22 January 1947 in The Niagara Falls Gazette: At the recent meeting of the Isabelle Alexander Auxiliary 11, United Spanish War Veterans, the new officers for the year were in charge. Two unexpected gifts to the auxiliary were reported. The first was a white leather-bound Bible given by Mrs. Emma Rushton in memory of her son, Harry Hummel. . . .

Wilson, all of this city. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral at Gridley Funeral Home, 750 Main St., Monday at 2 p.m., Rev. D. H. Weeks officiating. Interment in Oakwood cemetery, Niagara Frontier Lodge No. 132, F. & A.M. will conduct services Sunday evening at 7:30. Military rites at the cemetery by the M. B. Butler Post, Spanish-American War Veterans.

- The following appeared on 25 March 1953 in The Niagara Falls Gazette: Mrs. Emma S. Rushton, 90, of 719 Hopkins street, Buffalo, a resident of Niagara Falls until three years ago, died late yesterday at Mercy hospital, Buffalo, after a short illness.
Mrs. Rushton, whose husband George Rushton, died February 27, 1948, lived for many years at 642 Elmwood avenue and also in Ashland avenue. She was a member of the Dames of Malta, Flagler Chapter 582, Order of the Eastern Star; Amaranth Court 30, Messiah White Shrine 18, Riverdale Rebekah Lodge 195 and the Spanish War Veterans auxiliary. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Jane Quigley, Buffalo; a brother, Arthur Schriver, Bellwood, Pa; two stepsons, Charles and George Rushton, this city, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Gridley funeral home, with the Rev. John C. Wickenden, Epiphany Episcopal church, officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood cemetery. - A single grave marker identifies the graves of George Rushton and Emma Frances Schriver.
