  • The following appeared on 26 May 1951 in the Northwest Arkansas Times: Walton P. Sellers, acting chief of the United State Agricultural mission to Panama, has been in Fayetteville for four days, conferring with officials of the University College of Agriculture on plans for an agricultural program in Panama.
          The University has signed a contract with the U. S. Department of State and Agriculture under which the college assumes responsibility for the development of such an agricultural program in cooperation with the Office of Foreign Agricultural Relations of the Department of Agriculture, under the Point Four program.
         Sellers, a member of the Office of Foreign Agricultural Relations who represents the Departments of Agriculture and State in Panama, will work closely with the Arkansas group. He has been working with Dean Lippert S. Ellis and Associate Director R. P. Bartholomew on plans for the Panamanian mission, and has also been studying the program of the Arkansas Experiment Station.
  • The following appeared on 25 September 1964 in The Times-Picayune: [Died] On Wednesday, September 23, 1964, at 10:30 o'clock p. m., William Preston Sellers, father of Walton P. Sellers of Washington, La., brother of Mrs. Erie Wilson of Birmingham, Ala. Aged 92 years. A native of Birmingham, Ala., and a resident of Iota, La.
         Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.
         Services from The Geezy-Ferguson Funeral Home, Iota, La., on Friday, September 25, 1964, at 3 o'clock p. m.
         Interment in Maxie cemetery, with Masonic Graveside Services.
