- Nancy (?) was born circa 1840.
- Research Note: She apparently is found (as a widow) in three censuses in Montgomery County, Texas -- In 1880 she is enumerated as Alabama-born Nancy Earley, age 60, a farm worker in the household of Peter Early. In 1900, she is enumerated as Virginia-born Nancy Earley, age 60, a servant in the household of farmer John Wood. In 1910, she is enumerated as Alabama-born Nancy Coles, age 70, in the household of Peter's son Jefferson Early, identified as "mother."
