  • Arthur L. Cosnahan was born.
  • The following appeared on 13 December 1916 in The Augusta Chronicle: Mr. MacDaniel Cosnahan, a well-known and highly esteemed gentleman of Tahama, Ga., died at his residence at that place Monday night at 9 o'clock. He was 65 years old.
         The remains will be brought to Augusta this morning and from here conveyed to McBean early this afternoon, where the funeral will take place at 3 o'clock from the McBean Baptist Church. Rev. R. F. L. Harris will officiate and interment will be made in the McBean Cemetery.
         Mr. Cosnahan is survived by one son, Mr. A. L. Cosnahan of Augusta, and one daughter, Mrs. W. W. McDowell of Savannah.

  • The following appeared on 1 September 1948 in The Augusta Chronicle: Funeral Services for Arthur L. Cosnahan will be held at the Epworth Methodist church in Savannah this morning at 10 o'clock with the Rev. J. D. Dell officiating.
         Interment will be in Westover Memorial park at Augusta this afternoon at 3 o'clock.
         Mr. Cosnahan, a resident of Savannah, died in a Macon hospital Monday.
         He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtis Prescott Cosnahan of Savannah; three sons, A. L., Robert and James M. Cosnahan, all of Savannah; one daughter, Miss Elizabeth Alice Cosnahan of Savannah and one sister, Mrs. W. W. McDowell of Savannah.
         Mr. Cosnahan was a member of the Epworth Methodist church of Savannah, Shriner Solomon Temple No. 1., Eagles and Savannah Division 218 Order of Railroad conductors.
         He was associated with the Central of Georgia railroad since 1910 and in 1912 he was promoted to a conductor.
         He was the local chairman of the general committee of the Central of Georgia railroad.
         He made his last run Aug. 25 and was stricken ill in Macon before his return trip.
