  • The following appeared on 28 March 2003 in The Washington Post: Rebecca Ballow Hudson, 77, who taught Sunday school in Silver Spring at First Baptist and Luther Rice Memorial Baptist churches, died of pulmonary fibrosis March 23 at Montgomery General Hospital. She lived in the Leisure World community in Silver Spring.
         Mrs. Hudson, a Dayton, Ala., native, attended Auburn University. She was a secretary at the Navy Department in the mid-1940s.
         She was a volunteer at Holy Cross Hospital and a member of Olney Baptist Church.
         Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Robert R. Hudson of Leisure World; a son, Kenneth Hudson of Los Angeles; and two brothers.
