Husband of Helen (nee Nichlas); father of Mrs. Eugene (Annette) Darlak, of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Frank (Janet) Piskor of Florida, and Merle Chapin; a granddaughter, Charlene Darlak; brother of Ralph of Sanborn, George, Mrs. Clarence Goss, Mrs. Hubert Tomoser, all of Kenmore, the Rev. Paul Chapin of Louisiana, Harold, Mrs. Russell McLure and Mrs. James Imburgia, all of Buffalo. Friends may call at Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., where services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Richard Allen Boddy will officiate. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Mr. Chapin was a member of Gratwick Hose Company, the Fireman's Benevolent Association and Sylvania Management Club.
