Dr. Dyster received his B.S. degree from Niagara university and is a graduate of the University of Buffalo school of Medicine. He served his internship at Mt. St. Mary's hospital.
The wedding will be solemnized October 3, at St. John the Baptist church in Lockport. - She married Melvin B. Dyster, son of Albert H. Dyster and Madeline A. Jennings, on 3 October 1953 in Lockport, Niagara County, New York, at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church.

The Rev. francis A. Clancy, D.D., pastor of the church, officiated at the ceremony before the altar banked with white pompons, carnations and delphinia. Present in the santuary were the Rev. Mark J. Mullin, C.M., and the Rev. Thomas J. Dunn. Miss Marion Stoddart, organist, accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Leo Russell, cousin of the bride.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride carried a satin covered prayer book. . . .
Miss Maureen Harrington, Lockport, was maid of honor; Miss Jo Pace and Mrs. Robert Volkman, both of this city, and Miss Mildred Keenan, Kenmore, were bridesmaids; Miss Margaret Toohill, the bride's sister, was junior bridesmaid, and Nora Toohill was flower girl.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride carried a satin covered prayer book and pearl rosaries with a cascade arrangement of eucharist lilies and stephanotis. Her dress of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle over white satin was fashioned with an off-the-shoulder neckline, appliqued to illusion with lace. The lace of the bodice and long pointed sleeves continued in a wide front and back panel to the hem of the floor-length gown. Tiers of double nylon tulle ruffles extended from the lace panels, enhancing the bouffant skirt. Her Juliet cap of lace and satin was embroidered with tiny seed pearls and held a tiered fingertip-length veil of nylon tulle.

Miss Harrington and the bridesmaids wore Alice blue taffeta gowns with portrait necklines and cap sleeves. The long waisted bodices of tucked taffeta continued into full gathered ballerine-length skirts. They carried cascade bouquets and shaded bronze mums. Miss Harrington's headpiece was a royal blue taffeta clip with sheer veiling while the bridesmaids wore similar headpieces in Alice blue.
Colonial bouquets were carried by the junior bridesmaid and flower girl who were attired in blue and white flowered dresses of polished cotton with full skirts and royal blue sashes.

Guests were greeted by Mrs. Toohill who wore an amethyst crepe dress with winter white and black accessories and an orchid corsage. Pink and black accessories were chosen by the mother of the bridegroom to wear with her purple crepe dress which also was enhanced with an orchid corsage. - Mary Catherine Toohill died on 22 January 1999.
