  • The following appeared on 27 July 1922 in the Erie County Independent: A quiet wedding was solemnized Tuesday morning at the home of the bride in Pleasant avenue, Hamburg, when one of our most highly esteemed residents, Mr. Hilton H. Wheelock, was united in marriage to Mrs. Tabitha Gifford Mimken. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. James G. Hill, pastor of the First Baptist church, in the presence of relatives and a few intimate friends. Amidst a shower of congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Wheelock left on the 10:30 a. m. train for Chautauqua, where they will spend the remainder of the season.

  • The following appeared on 5 November 1953 in The Hamburg Sun: Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the W. L. Froehley Funeral Home in Lake St. for Mrs. Tabitha Wheelock who died last Friday. The Rev. Kenneth H. Good, Pastor of the First Baptist Church officiated at the home and later in Prospect Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Wheelock was the wife of the late Hilton H. Wheelock. Mrs. Wheelock leaves two daughters, Mrs. Edwin Kleinfelder of Pasadena, Cal., and Mrs. J. L. Craig Wilson of Lake View, two grandsons, Paul Kleinfelder of Toronto, Ont., and Judson Kleinfelder of Clarence Center.
