Dawn was born in Tyler to the late Norman Gaylord Roberts I and Grace Marie Green Roberts. As a young child she was a tomboy at heart and loved squirrel hunting, horseback riding, and catching butterflies with her younger brother, Norman G. Roberts II.
Dawn earned a master of music in vocal performance from East Texas State University in Commerce. She met the love of her life, husband Wade Houston Weiler, and gave birth to her "greatest accomplishment," Megan Marie, on Sept. 7, 1970. She earned a certificate of library science from North Texas State University in 1981.
On Dec. 5, 2005, her life was blessed with the birth of her granddaughter, Grace Ann Crigger. She was an avid reader, loved sailing, gardening, and spending time with her godchildren.
Survivors: Daughter, Megan Marie Crigger and husband, Paul; granddaughter, Grace Ann Crigger; brother, Norman G. Roberts II and wife, Sharon.
