  • The following appeared on 19 December 1893 in The Dallas Morning News: (Austin, Dec. 17) Col. David W. Bouldin, son of one of Austin's pioneers, Capt. James E. Bouldin, died here to-day at noon from a severe attack of acute pneumonia. Only a week ago Col. Bouldin returned home with the remains of his wife, who died in Colorado a short time ago.
