  • The following appeared on 1 July 1929 in the Geneva Daily Times: (Seneca Falls) Franklin J. Johnson, aged 79, died at the home of his son Jesse H. Johnson on Canoga street Sunday afternoon at 2:30 following an illness of about three weeks. Mr. Johnson was born in Waterloo and spent a large portion of his life in that village but during the past fifteen years has made his home with his children in this village and at Geneva alternately.
         He is survived by his sister, Mrs. P. H. Reigel of this place; three sons, Edward P. and Jesse H. of Seneca Falls and William F. Johnson of Utica, and two daughters, Mrs. Albert B. Leonard and Mrs. Roy R. Fisher of Geneva. The funeral will be held from the home of Jesse H. Johnson in Seneca Falls Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with interment in Maple Grove Cemetery at Waterloo.
