- The following appeared on 9 May 1913 in The Niagara Falls Gazette: A quiet wedding took place yesterday afternoon of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Mayle of Pletchers Corners, when Katherine, their only daughter, was united in marriage to Mr. Ami Pletcher, in the presence of immediate relatives. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. L. F. Mayle of the Groveland Presbyterian church. The witnesses were Mr. Ralph Pletcher and Miss F. Luella Krehbiel. After a bounteous dinner the bride and groom left for an extended eastern trip, after which they will be at home at Pletchers Corners, where they will cordially greet their many friends and acquaintances.

Mr. Pletcher is survived by his wife, Katherine Mayle Pletcher; his brother, Henry H., of Cambria, and his brother, Eddy Pletcher, of Browning, Montana. The funeral will be conducted at his late home Saturday afternoon, at 2 o'clock.
Mr. Pletcher was a descendant of one of the first pioneer families that settled in this part of Niagara from which Pletcher's Corners derived its name. His parents were the late Hiram and Sarah Eddy Pletcher.
His home school district honored him with a trusteeship for the past 14 years. He was a member of the Pierce avenue Presbyterian church. In the absence of the Rev. W. C. Crofts, the Rev. John K. Borneman, of Bacon Memorial Presbyterian church, will officiate.
. Interment will be in the Niagara Falls Memorial Park cemetery on the Military road. - He was interred at Niagara Falls Memorial Park, Lewiston, Niagara County, New York.
