George Haeberle, 66, of 151 Buffalo Ave., president of the former Haeberle Lumber Co., died in Memorial Hospital today (Oct. 18, 1966) after a long illness.
Mr. Haeberle, a native of this city, also was president of the Haeberle Realty Corp. and the Haeberle Paint and Builders Supply Co.
In addition, he was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, a former member of the Church Council, a member of the Niagara Falls Country Club, the Niagara Club, the Advisory Board of the Manufacturers and Traders Trust Co., the board of directors of the Travelers Aid Society and secretary of the Oakwood Cemetery Association.
Survivors include his wife, Gertrude; two sons, George of Lewiston and Peter of this city; and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Styer of Coronado, Calif.
Mr. Haeberle was the brother of the late Walter G. Haeberle and Mrs. Charlotte Thompson.
Friends may call at the Cornell and Daggett Funeral Home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A private family memorial service will be conducted in the funeral chapel Wednesday morning by Rev. Paul R. Swank. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to charities will be acceptable as tributes, the family said. - She was interred at Oakwood Cemetery, Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York.
