  • The following appeared on 7 February 1906 in the Plymouth Post: Mrs. Margaretha Diefenthaeler, nee Feldmann, the widow of the late George Diefenthaeler died on Friday night at St. Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee following an operation on Thursday. She was born September 11th, 1855 in Town Rhine and reached the age of 50 years, 4 months and 22 days. On April 20th, 1878 she was married to George Diefenthaeler. They lived in Millhome and for many years they operated the Pine Point Resort with Mr. Starck. She continued to operate the resort with Mr. Stark after her husband passed away five years ago. She is survived by one daughter, Minnie Diefenthaeler and the following brothers and sisters; Michael Feldmann of Glenbeulah; John of Elkhart Lake; Jacob of Minnesota; Mrs. E. Weiskopf of Kiel and Mrs. A. G. Goldammer of Elkhart Lake and Mrs. Jacob Kissinger of Town Rhine. The funeral is Wednesday afternoon at the Elkhart Lake Cemetery with Pastor Fischer officiating.
