Mr. Wilson came to The Star in 1921 as a linotype machinist and had been employed in the composing room continuously since then. He lived in Fairfax. He was a member of Pentalpha Lodge No. 23 of the Masonic Order and of Kena Temple, Alexandria (Va.) He was a Scottish Rite Mason, 32d degree. He was also a member of Hope Chapter No. 73, Order of the Eastern Star in Fairfax.
He was born in Great Bend (Pa.) on January 1, 1897 and attended Girard College in Philadelphia.
He served in the Army in France in World War I with Ambulance Company No. 105. After the war, Mr. Wilson worked in Scranton, Pa., where he had served his apprenticeship as a linotype machinist on the Scranton Times. He also worked on the Scranton Daily News.
Mr. Wilson leaves his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth H. Wilson of the home address and three daughters, Miss Judith Wilson, a freshman at Radford College, Radford, Va., and Mrs. Eleanor Gordon and Mrs. Jean Bartholomew, both of Buffalo, N. Y. He also leaves a brother, W. M. Wilson of Syracuse, N. Y.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but services will be at the Everly Funeral Home, 214 West Main street, Fairfax. Plans are being made for burial in Arlington Cemetery.
