Death occurred suddenly Friday morning at his Chicago home. He was a railway mail clerk, with a route between Chicago and Cleveland.

         Mrs. Petersen was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and its Missionary Society; Port Clinton Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and Harp Rebekah Lodge.
         Surviving besides the daughter are a son, John Pautlitz, Chicago; four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a brother Phillip Hoffman, Toledo and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Mahon, Cleveland.
         Friends may call at the Neidecker-Eberle-LeVeck Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday, the Rev. John E. Braun, officiating. Burial is to be in Lakeview Cemetery.
