He was a special agent for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co., former district engineer for the State Road Commission, member of Kanawha Presbyterian Church, Mason, Jester, Shriner, member of the West Virginia Society of Professional Engineers, Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity, resident of Charleston since 1932.
Surviving: widow, Lillian McElroy Simpson; sister, Mrs. Joseph Ritter of Fort Worth, Texas.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Barlow-Bonsall Funeral Home. Burial in Sunset Memorial Park. - Lillian Yost McElroy died on 5 August 1971 at age 69 in Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia, at Sunset Memorial Park.
- She was interred at Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia.
- The following appeared on 7 August 1971 in The Charleston Gazette: Mrs. Lillian Yost Simpson, 69, of 1511 Washington St. E, died Saturday in Charleston Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Mrs. Simpson was a long time employe of Cities Service Inc., graduate of West Virginia University, state membership chairman of Alpha Delta Phi Sorority, past president and long time board member of Kanawha County Society of Crippled Children, member of Kanawha Presbyterian church and was a resident of Charleston 40 years.
Surviving: sister, Mrs. Kathryn M. Stewart of Fairview.
Service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in Barlow-Bonsall Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Morgan will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
