- George Aldous was born on 8 January 1868 in Chippawa, Welland County, Ontario, Canada.

- The following appeared on 27 August 1924 in The Niagara Falls Gazette: The funeral of Mrs. Mary S. Rushton, 62 years old, of No. 642 Elmwood avenue, who died Monday was held at 2 o'clock from the family home this afternoon and at 2:45 o'clock from the Trinity church in Chippawa, Ont. The Rev. Phillip W. Mosher officiated. Burial was in Chippawa cemetery.
The bearers were Jesse Read, Bert Wardell, William Smith, Howard Hooker, J. S. Fleck and George A. Pierce. The services at the home this afternoon were conducted by the L. A. P. M., No. 9. Many large and beautiful floral offerings filled the rooms of the home. She is survived besides her husband by two sons, Lieuts. George A. and Charles H., both of this city, her mother, Mrs. John Aldous, by one sister, Mrs. Martha McCloy, of Chippawa, and five brothers, Thomas, of Chippawa, Fred, of Buffalo, and John, Charles and George, all of this city. - George Aldous and Eva (?) appeared in the US federal census of 1 April 1930 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York, at 335 Seventh Street.
- He was a truck driver with the power company, according to the 1930 census.

- The following appeared on 23 November 1953 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow for George Aldous, 85, of 335 Seventh St., who died yesterday after a long illness in Memorial Hospital only two days after his brother, Charles Aldous, 90, died in Indianapolis, Ind.
Retired for 15 years, George Aldous was a former employe of the old Niagara Falls Power Co. and an a resident of this city for more than 53 years. Both brothers were born in Chippawa, Ont.
Charles Aldous was a former resident of this city and a former employe of the Niagara Falls Gazette Publishing Co. and the Wahl Printing Co. as a bookbinder. He has resided with his son, Charles Aldous Jr., in Indianapolis since his retirement several years ago.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews including George A. Rushton, Charles H. Rushton and Miss Gertrude Aldous, all of this city; Mrs. Edna Cole, Youngstown; Miss Laura McCloy, Mrs. George Rowe and Albert Aldous, CHippawa.
Services will be conducted by the Very Rev. Blake B. Hammond at the Gridley Funeral Home. Interment will be in Riverdale Cemetery. - The following appeared on 5 February 1954 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: Charles H. Rushton, 8670 Hennepin Ave., nephew of the late George Aldous, was named sole beneficiary in his uncle's will which was admitted to probate today by County Judge and Surrogate Frank J. Kronenberg at City Hall.
According to the petition for probate, the estate is valued at more than $5,000 in real estate and upwards of $500 in personal property. Mr. Aldous died last Nov. 22. - The following appeared on 30 April 1954 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: Several state tax appraisals have been filed at the Surrogate's Office. They include: George Aldous, Niagara Falls, died Nov. 22, 1953; gross, $11,598.12; net, $9,941,21; beneficiary, nephew, Charles H. Rushton, 8670 Hennepin Ave., Niagara Falls.
