  • The following appeared on 14 February 1986 in The Oregonian: A rural Hillsboro man died Thursday morning after is pickup left the road and rolled over twice on Southwest Farmingham Road near River Road.
         Cecil L. Boge, 68, died at Emanuel Hospital following the 9:30 a.m. accident. He was transported to the hospital by Life Flight helicopter ambulance.
         Oregon State Police investigators said Boge's pickup apparently left the highway when he drifted away from the center line to allow a vehicle to pass. Investigators said the pickup rolled over twice and came to rest on its top. Boge, who police said apparently was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle.
         Police said a witness told them Boge wasn't speeding.
         Boge was given emergency first aid at the scene by paramedics with Washington County Fire District 1.
         Boge had been a volunteer firefighter with Fire District 1, which serves the area outside Hillsboro, for 32 years.
  • The following appeared on 18 February 1986 in The Oregonian: Cecil Loren Boge of Hillsboro died Thursday in Portland hospital. He was 68.
         Funeral for Mr. Boge was Monday in Fulton Mortuary, Hillsboro Chapel. Entombment was in Valley Memorial Park in Hillsboro.
         Mr. Boge was a lifelong resident of the Farmington area, south of Hillsboro. He attended the Behnke-Walker Business College in Portland.Mr. Boge had worked for the soil and conservation district in Washington County before entering the service.
         He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Following his discharge, he worked as a millwright, before going into the construction industry. He retired in 1983.
         He was a member of the Christian Church, and he was a volunteer firefighter with Washington County Fire District 2, Midway station.
         Surviving are his wife, Eunice; brother Marion of Hillsboro; and a sister Ruth Tuma of Beaverton.
