Mr. Kopf, who would have been 101 May 4, died Thursday in the Erie County Home and Infirmary at Wende where he has been a resident for several years. He formerly lived with his daughter, Mrs. E. Craig Brauer at 60 N. Long St., Williamsville. Mrs. Brauer now lives in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Mr. Kopf was born on a farm in the hamlet of Langford, Town of North Collins. He worked in his father's blacksmith shop in North Collins and operated a farm in that town before becoming an ironworker for a steel construction concern here. Later he sold toilet and hair grooming products. He was a watchman for a downtown women's apparel store when he retired.
Mr. Kopf was a life member of Fidelity Lodge of Odd FEllows.
Survivors besides his daughter are two brothers, Edwin of Ravenna, Ohio, and Fred of Cleveland; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
