- Warner Duane Powell was born on 29 May 1935 in Carrizo Springs, Dimmit County, Texas.

Fisher of Kingsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Elizabeth, to Warner Duane Powell, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Powell of Carrizo Springs. The couple will be married June 2 at the First Baptist Church in Kingsville.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Henrietta M. King High School, attended Texas College of Arts and Industries in Kingsville, and is now attending the University of Texas. Her fiance was graduated from Carrizo High School and Texas College of Arts and Industries. He is a teacher in Carrizo Springs Junior High School.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fisher and Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Nichols of this city. - The following appeared on 3 June 1962 in The Corpus Christi Caller-Times: (Kingsville) Miss Mary Elizabeth Fisher and Warner Duane Powell exchanged wedding vows at the First Baptist Church in Kingsville Saturday evening.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Lewis Ross Fisher of Kingsville. The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Billy Martin Powell of Carrizon Springs.
An arrangement of white stock and white chrysanthemums was used.

After a short wedding trip, the couple will be at home in Kingsville this summer to attend Texas A&I College. In Austin next year the bride will continue her studies at the University of Texas and the groom will teach in the Austin public schools.
The bride is a graduate of Henrietta M. King High School. The groom is a graduate of Carrizo Springs High School and Tarleton State College and Texas A&I College. He will work on his master's degree this summer. - Warner Duane Powell died on 23 April 1995 at age 59 in Hays County, Texas.
