• She married Ruel Hollister Higgins, son of Leonard Higgins and Elizabeth (?), circa 1848.
• Leonard Higgins and Elizabeth (?) appeared in the New York state census of 1 June 1855 in Antwerp, Jefferson County, New York. Other members of the household included Mahala Miller, Ruel Hollister Higgins. Also in the household were children Charles (age 24), Oscar (23), Soloman (21), Martin (19), Angaline (16) and William (14), and Ruell & Mahala's children Amy (5), Charles (3) and Earnest (2).
• Ruel Hollister Higgins and Mahala Miller appeared in the New York state census of 1 June 1865 in Antwerp, New York. Other members of the household included John Leonard Higgins. Also in the household were children Amy (age 15), Malon (13), Earnest (12), Adalade (7) and George (6 months).
• Mahala Miller died about 1865-1870.
• Ruel Hollister Higgins became a widower at her death.
