  • The following appeared on 3 May 1995 in the Midland News: Kenneth Clayton Foster was born Dec. 15, 1920 in Springview, NE to Guy Clayton Foster and Ruth Gerda Barrett Millard. He passed away Wednesday, April 19, 1995 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital in Deming, NM at the age of 74 years, four months and four days. Kenneth was united in marriage to Helen E. Sass on Sept. 12, 1964. Kenneth farmed and ranched in Nebraska and operated Foster Furniture Store in Bassett, NE and discount furniture in Scottsbluff, NE. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and had lived in Deming, NM for the last nine years.
         Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Pauline Kaczmarek. He is survived by his wife, Helen Foster of Deming, NM; son, Bryan Foster of Golden, CO; three daughters, Oleta Gae Torrez of Las Cruces, NM, Judy Ruth Jones of Charles City, IA, Joyce LaVonne Leckey of DeSmet, SD; three sisters, Phyllis Poston and Grazia Orr, both of Apache Junction, AZ and Helen Schenk of Ainsworth; eleven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
         Funeral services were held on Monday, April 24, 1995 at the United Methodist Church in Ainsworth. Interment was in the Ainsworth Cemetery. Revs. Kelly and Cindy Karges officiated the services. Music was provided by grandchildren, Traci Love, Heather Blair and Todd Foster. Active casketbearers were: Todd Foster, Darin Jones, Charlie Love, Junior Weander, Bryan Blair and Matt Blair. Honorary casketbearers were: R. Daniel Jones, Dale Keim, Duane Keim, Ray Keim, Ralph Keim, Emry Mauch, Bruce Morris, Chet Nelson, Dick Mohanna, Roger Jones, Jim Leckey and Pres Torrez. Memorials were suggtested to the American Heart and Lung Association.
         Baca's Funeral Chapel of Deming, NM and Hoch Funeral Home of Ainsworth were in charge of arrangements.

         Bryan was born October 9, 1951 in Bassett, Nebraska to Kenneth Clayton and Clovis Oleta (Barron) Foster. Following his high school graduation, he attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, where he played basketball and was awarded a baseball scholarship. He was later drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals baseball organization and played in their farm system.
         Bryan married Kari Oleson on Sept 1, 1970, in Dickinson, North Dakota. They had two children, Todd and Kristin. In 1994, Bryan met Bernadine Archuleta Pierce and together with her three daughters, Karissa, Katrina and Kellsie, built their life in Durango and Longmont, Colorado.
         As a young professional, Bryan worked in the investment industry, focusing on wealth management. He managed Paine Webber offices in Des Moines, Iowa, and later in Oklahoma City before moving to Colorado. His most recent endeavor was in real estate.
         Bryan enjoyed a love and interest for horses from a young age. He most recently invested in cutting horses and competed at the amateur level. He also had great passion for ranching, baseball, and golf. He attended both Flatirons Community Church in Lafayette and New Creation Church in Longmont.
         His father in 1995, and one sister, Joyce Heiser in 2005, preceded Bryan in death.
         Bryan is survived by his mother, Clovis Cameron; stepfather, Dave Cameron; and stepmother, Helen Foster, all of Ainsworth, Nebraska; his life partner, Bernadine Pierce of Longmont; his son, Todd Foster and wife, Libby, of Boston, Massachusetts; and daughters, Kristin Martindale and husband, Garret, of Oakland, California, Karissa Pierce, Katrina Pierce, and Kellsie Pierce of Longmont. Also surviving are his sisters, Gae Foster of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Judy Jones and husband, Roger, of Georgetown, Texas; as well as four grandchildren, Luke Foster, Ben Foster, Madeline Martindale, and James Clayton Foster.
         Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2009, at Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services, Longmont. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Ainsworth, Nebraska, with interment in the Ainsworth Cemetery.
  • The following was published online by Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home: Clovis Oleta Barron-Foster Cameron, age 93, passed to her heavenly home on September 5, 2016. Clovis was a resident of Georgetown, Texas for the past 5 years and resided at a Wesleyan home. She was born in Drumright, Oklahoma and spent her childhood in Borger, Texas. She lived most of her adult life in the Midwest (NE, SD). She raised her 4 children there and was very active in community affairs. She was a superb seamstress and a master gardener. She was involved in her children's school activities and in her church.
         Clovis was preceded in death by her husband, David Matthew Cameron, her daughter, Joyce LaVonne Heiser, and son, Bryan Kenneth Foster.
         Clovis is survived by two daughters, Oleta Gae Foster of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Judith Ruth Jones of Georgetown, Texas. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
