She was born on August 22, 1922 in Lead, South Dakota to Charles Raymond Brown and Margaret Evangeline Cox. Shortly after high school, she moved to the Bear Lake Valley with her family. She married Olean Parker on May 21, 1945 in the Logan Temple. Marion is best known in the valley as the Avon Lady, which she enjoyed and put her heart into for 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Olean William Parker, 2 children David William Parker and Margaret Elizabeth Richan, and a granddaughter Samantha Parker. She is survived by a sister Dorothy Lloyd, 3 children Charles Franklin Parker, Thomas Raymond Parker, and Robyn Lynne Clawson. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Marion spent the last 10 plus years of her life in the Bear Lake Skilled Nursing Facility where the skilled and compassionate staff became her extended family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 13, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at the Montpelier First Ward LDS Chapel, 485 South 7th Street. Friends and family may visit prior to the services from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. There will also be a visitation on Friday February 12, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Schwab Matthews Mortuary, 702 Clay Street. Interment will be in the Montpelier Cemetery.
