- She was known as Elayne later in life.
- The following appeared on 1 May 1937 in the Deadwood Pioneer-Times: (Lead) Mrs. George Kearney and daughter, Elain, will leave on the Burlington Saturday for Colorado to Join Mr. Kearney who is employed at the Cresson mines at Cripple Creek. Mrs. Kearney is the daughter of Mrs. Ellis Davies of Lead.
