- The following appeared on 9 November 1946 in The Niagara Falls Gazette: A quiet wedding was solemnized this afternoon at the home of the Rev. Arthur H. Schmoyer when Miss E. Betty Mayle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward H. Mayle, Sr., Portage road, became the bride of Mr. Robert J. Koch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Koch, Thirteenth street. Mrs. Leonard Zinter, sister of the bridegroom, was the bride's only attendant, and Mr. Edward H. Mayle, Jr., was the best man.
Immediately after the ceremony a dinner was held for the immediate families at the Red Coach Inn. A reception will be held this afternoon at the home of the bride's parents for family friends. - The following appeared on 8 August 1949 in The Niagara Falls Gazette: A descendant of one of the pioneer Niagara Falls families, Edward H. Mayle, Sr., 65, of 436 Portage road, died Saturday in Memorial hospital.
A lifelong resident of this city, he attended schools here and Canisius college, Buffalo. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis F. Mayle, he was associated with his father in the Niagara Falls Brewing company and the Cataract Consumers brewery for many years.
When prohibition came in, he became a cashier in the city treasurer's office. He retired four years ago.
He served one term as alderman for the Fifth Ward, 1912 to 1914, and was a member of the BPOE for 42 years and a member of Our Lady of Lebanon church.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor B; one son, Edward H. Mayle, Jr., Kenmore; one daughter, Mrs. Betty M. Koch, this city; two brothers, Albert T., this city, and Francis C., Newark, N. J; three sisters, Mrs. Matilda Leonhardt, North Tonawanda; Mrs. Edith Kaiser, this city, and Miss Grace J. Mayle, Newark, N. J., and three grandsons, Kenmore.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. at the home, 436 Portage road, and at 10 o'clock at Our Lady of Lebanon church. Interment will be in Riverdale cemetery, with the Elks in charge of services at the grave. - The following appeared on 10 March 1950 in The Niagara Falls Gazette: [Died] Eleanor Gruber Mayle, of Niagara Falls, March 7, Buffalo General hospital. Weeks, both of Niagara Falls, and Mrs. John M. Benzine of Hollywood, Fla; also survived by three grandsons. Funeral Saturday, March 11, at 3 p.m. from home, 436 Portage road. Rev Arthur Schmoyer officiating. Interment Riverdale cemetery.

Niagara, Mrs. Betty Mayle Koch, 35, of 4823 Terrace Dr., died yesterday at her home after an illness of two years. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mayle, prominent residents of this city for many years.
Mrs. Koch worked at the Adjutant General's Office for nine yers. More recently, she was employed as a secretary by the C. Edgar Allen Real Estate Co. here. [:CR;] Survivors include her husband, Robert Koch, and a brother, Edward Mayle, of Kenmore.
The Rev. James e. Wells, pastor of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Lewiston, will officiate at services Wedesday at 2 p.m. at the Gridley Funeral Home. Interment will be in Riverdale Cemetery.
