- The following appeared on 10 March 1958 in the Lockport Union-Sun & Journal: Mrs. Oscar A. Mayer, Thrall Rd., died of a cerebral hemorrhage early this morning (March 10, 1958) while visiting her daughter, Mrs. Regina Knauer, in Rochester. She was 75 years old.
Funeral arrangements, being made by the Gaul Funeral Home, are incomplete.
Mrs. Mayer is survived by four sons, Harvey, Thomas and Oscar V. of Lockport and Lewis of Rochester; six daughters, Mrs. Ruth Wiggins, Venice, Calif; Mrs. Monica Molyneaux, Ransomville; Mrs. Tony Antoncich and Mrs. Grace Litz, Lockport; Mrs. Natalie Hanbruck of Newfane and Mrs. Knauer; four brothers, Ben Gerlach, New Jersey; Harry Gerlach of Pekin and Albert Gerlach of Lockport and three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Linck, Lockport; Mrs. Stella Larson, Ashville; and Mrs. Jessie Helm, Pekin. - The following appeared on 14 March 1958 in the Lockport Union-Sun & Journal: Funeral services for Euretta Mayer were held Thursday, March 13, 1958 at 8:30 A.M. from The Gaul Funeral Home Inc., 263 East Ave and 9:00 A.M. from St. Mary's Church. The Rev. Albert G. Winter officiated. The bearers were Alfred Fritton, Richard Heim, Harry J. Gerlach, Howard Mayer, Clarence Helm, and Lester Mayer. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
