- The following appeared on 3 December 1925 in the Buffalo Evening News: The death of Mrs. Margaret Kidd Parke, 56, wife of Fenton M. Parke, real estate dealer, occurred Wednesday evening in the family residence, 123 Park street. Her death followed an operation. [:C:R] Throughout her life, Mrs. Parke was interested in educational and charitable work. She was born in Brampton, Ontario, September 20, 1869, the daughter of the late James and Mary Watt Kidd, of Buffalo. She was educated in Buffalo schools. She then devoted her attention to a study of kindergarten methods and teaching. [:C:R] In 1902 she was married to Fenton M. Parke. There are three children, Robert, Richard, and Margaret, all of Buffalo. For the past two years Mrs. Parke has been conected with the Home for the Friendless, as treasurer and editor of the bulletin of that organization. She was a member of the Chromatic society. Recently she completed a course at the University of Buffalo including astronomy, English, philosophy, and psychology. She returned from a three months' European trip only a few weeks ago. [:C:R] The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon in the family residence, with interment in Forest Lawn.
- The following appeared on 6 December 1925 in the Buffalo Courier: The funeral of Mrs. Margaret Kidd Parke, wife of Fenton M. Parke, prominent realtor, took place at the family home, No. 123 Park street, yesterday afternoon. The Rev. Samuel V. V. Holmes, D. D., pastor of Westminster Presbyterian church, officiated.
Members of the immediate family who acted as pall bearers were Mrs. Parke's sons, Robert and Richard Parke, Franklin A. And William A. Kidd, her brothers, and David and Donald Aitken, cousins. Interment was in Forest Lawn Cemetery. - The following appeared on 13 October 1960 in the Buffalo Courier-Express: [Died] William A. Kidd, of 66 Summer St., Oct. 10, 1960, beloved husband of Edith Schulttz McDonnell Kidd; step-father of Donald W. McDonnell; brother of the late Anna Simpson, Mrs. Fenton M. Parke and Franklyn J. Kidd. A memorial service will be held at Holmes Chapel of Westminster Presbyterian Church thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Friends invited. Mr. Kidd was a member of the American Institute of Architecture WNY chapter, No. 240, Past Master Washington Lodge F.&A.M., member of Buffalo Consistory, Ismailia Temple, Westminster Men's Club and Construction Club. Memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Homes, c/o Westminster Presbyterian Church.
