  • The following appeared in the Sandusky Star Journal: The death of Frederick Hoffman, a resident here for the past fifty years, occurred at the home of Mrs. Minnie Mahon, 426 Perry street, at 10:55 p.m. Tuesday. He was aged 82 years, 3 months and 20 days, and leaves to survive him, beside his wife, four sons, George of Buffalo, Philip of Toledo, and Daniel and Jacob of this city; three daughters, Mrs. Mahon, Mrs. August Pautlitz of Port Clinton, and Mrs. Charles Seaman of Toledo; twenty grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held from the residence of Mrs. Mahon Friday at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. J. G. Enselin officiating. Burial will be made in Oakland cemetery.
