Mrs. Borth was a member of Women's Association of the Maccabee.
  • The following appeared on 9 December 1956 in the Buffalo Courier-Express: Miss Mildred V. Borth, 58, of 20 W. Cleveland Dr., an employe of the New York Central Railroad for 27 years, died yesterday at her home.
         Miss Borth was a clerk for Pullman reservations for the railroad.
         She was born in Buffalo the daughter of the late John and Gertrude Antweiler Borth, and attended School 43.
         She was a member of Salome Chapter 311, Order of the Eastern Star, Railway Business Women and the Cleveland Hill Evangelical Lutheran Church.
         Surviving are two brothers, Chester J. and Clifford J. Borth.
         Calls may be made at the Marvin E. Malzan Funeral Home, 1520 Kensington Ave. until 11 Tuesday morning. Funeral services will be at 1 at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

  • The following appeared on 27 September 1979 in The Hamburg Sun: Services were held yesterday (Wednesday) in the Floyd Hess Chapel of Loomis Offers and Loomis Funeral Home on Main St. for Mrs. Verna Walter Borth of Clifton Pkwy. who died Sept. 22 in her 63rd year. Officiating was the Rev. David G. Persons, minister of Wayside United Presbyterian Church.
         A past matron of Angola Chapter No. 184 of the Eastern Star, which conducted memorial services Tuesday evening, Mrs. Borth was also a member of Beulah Chapter 176, O.E.S. here.
         Surviving are her husband, Clifford J. Borth, a son, Alan D. Borth, a daughter, Laurie C. Borth, two sisters, Mrs. Harry Criel and Mrs. Stuart Daycock and a brother, Raymond Walter, and several nieces and nephews.
         Mrs. Borth was also a sister of the late Howard Walter.
