  • The following appeared on 2 June 1939 in The Times Record: Frank Rock, 72, well known machinist of Whitehall, died at his home in North Main Street there yesterday. Surviving are his widow; four daughters, Mrs. David E. Inglee, Mrs. William Fournier, Mrs. Edward Hughes, Whitehall, and Mrs. Nelson Derlick of Saratoga Springs; two sons, Frank Rock, Jr., and Harry Rock of Whitehall; two brothers, Edward of Whitehall and Charles Rock of Albany; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Hilder and Mrs. James Lemley, and a stepmother, Mrs. Mary Rock of Whitehall. The funeral will be at 9:30 tomorrow from Notre Dame des Victoires Church in the village.

  • The following appeared on 15 July 1942 in The Post-Star: (Whitehall) Mrs. Delia Rock, 69, died at 9:30 P. M. Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. David E. Inglee, Division Street. Mrs. Rock suffered a stroke of paralysis Sunday night, but she had been ill the past five years and confined to bed most of that time. Mrs. Rock, the widow of Frank Rock, was born in Whitehall, and had always made her home here. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gordon. She was well known in Whitehall, and was a member of Notre Dame des Victoires Church.
         Survivors besides the daughter mentioned are three daughters, Mrs. William Furonter and Mrs. Edward Hughes of Whitehall, Mrs. Nelson Derlick of Saratoga Springs; two sons, Henry and Frank Rock, Whitehall; a brother, Henry Gordon, Binghamton, and two sisters, Mrs. Peter McDuff and Mrs. Rose Greenwood, both of Whitehall.
         Funeral services will be conducted at 9 A. M. Thursday in Notre Dame des Victoires Church. The Rev. Father Joseph H. Pelletier, pastor, will celebrate a requiem high Mass. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
