She was born in East Rochester on Dec. 10, 1918, the daughter of Mac and Florence (Else) Troxel. She graduated from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, in Buffalo. She was a plant nurse for Hooker Chemical Co. and Carborundum Co. She was the widow of Edward M. Rushton, who died in 1982. Mrs. Rushton attended St. Paul's Methodist Church in Niagara Falls and was a member of the Niagara Falls Chapter No. 582, Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by a daughter, Sherry Snelling of Hamlin; and a sister, Sylvia Platt of Fairport. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Oakwood Cemetery, Niagara Falls. Arrangements were made by the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Hilton, N.Y.
