  • The following appeared on 15 June 1904 in The Columbus Enquirer:
         After an illness of about two years, Mrs. Hattie C. Wood passed away at the home of Mr. H. H. Warner, in Wynnton, yesterday morning at 11:15 o'clock. /P/ The deceased was a daughter of the late Dr. J. W. Cameron. Her mother, Mrs. J. W. Cameron; two little girls, Pansie and Eleanor; two sisters, Mrs. H. H. Warner, of Columbus, and Mrs. Joseph Lozier, of Jackson, Tenn., and a brother, Mr. Stanford Cameron, of this city, survive her.
         Mrs. Wood moved from Atlanta to Columbus, her old home, only about a year ago. She was a member of the First Baptist church of Atlanta, her membership never having been transferred to Columbus. She had many friends over the city, who will learn with deep sadness of her death. /P/ The funeral will take place from the house at 10:30 o'clock this morning. The services will be conducted by Dr. Robert H. Harris, of Greenville, formerly pastor of the First Baptist church of this city, who was a devoted friend of her father, the late Dr. Cameron.
         The remains will be laid to rest in Linwood cemetery. /P/ The pallbearers will be Messrs. E. D. Burts, T. E. Berry, R. H. Blandford, Albert Kirven, Jr., F. H. Warner and Edward Faber.
