The couple was married Dec. 6 in the Lovers Lane Methodist Church, with the Rev. Thomas J. Shipp officiating. /P/ A reception was given by the bride's sisters, Mrs. Earl B. Kratz and Mrs. W. R. Snyder Jr., at Mrs. Snyder's home, 5001 Amherst. Mrs. Ruth Pitts, sister of the bride-groom, presided at the wedding cake and Miss Verna Dunn served punch. Miss Ruth Adelia Pitts, niece of the bridegroom, had charge of the bride's book. /P/ The couple is residing at 5922 Martel.
  • The following appeared on 24 July 1954 in the Dallas Morning News: Fire which threatened Grapevine's business district destroyed the Donie Chair & Manufacturing Company plant here Friday afternoon, causing a loss estimated at $50,000 to $80,000. Grapevine Mayor H. M. Cosnahan said the fire was preceded by a brief electrical failure in the furniture plant. Flames swept rapidly through three quonset-type buildings and an annex which housed the plant's machinery at the edge of the business area. /P/ The mayor said Grapevine's volunteer fire department and firefighting units from Arlington, Euless, Haltom City and Colleyville kept the flames from spreading to downtown stores and nearby homes. /P/ The company makes wooden executive-type desks, tables and chairs and a large volume of furniture was in process of manufacture, said J. D. Pryor, manager and part-owner. He said the loss was "pretty well" covered by insurance.

The dead included Hamilton Cosnahan, 70, and his wife, Lucille, 77, of Houston [Dallas], Texas, the Philippine News Agency said. . . .
