Mr. Foster was a merchant at Regina and had lived there for the past 31 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son, Henry B. Foster; a daughter, Mrs. George Hatch; all of Regina; four brothers, Claude, Nathan, and Bailey of Texas, and Herbert of California; one sister, Mrs. Ira Short, of Texas; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Presbyterian Church in Regina with Dr. V. A. Woodworth officiating. Interment will be made in the Regina Cemetery with the French-Fitzgerald Mortuary in charge. Escorts will be: Robert Huffman, Dave Alexander, J. D. Nelson, H. C. Lasater, George Howard, and C. S. Evans.

         Born Nov 16, 1912, in Batesville, Texas, To Thomas Henry and Mary Anna Peace. He was a retired rancher who moved to this area in 1974 from New Mexico. He was a World War II veteran and was a Japanese prisoner of war for 3 1/2 years in the Philippines campaign. He was a member of the VFW and Ex-prisoners of War. He is survived by four sons, Lawrence K. Foster of Rogers, Steven Bonneau Foster of Bentonville, Ronald Bruce Foster of Garland, Texas, and Roderick Damon Foster of Rockwood, Tenn; three daughters, Elizabeth E. Hutcheson of Bentonville, Darcy S. Pattison of North Little Rock and Lezli Shelton of Rogers; a sister, Mary Hatch of Moab, Utah; and 15 grandchildren. The funeral is scheduled 2 p.m. today in Burns Funeral Home Chapel in Bentonville with Don Miller officiating. Burial will be in Bentonville Cemetery.

         Mrs. Hatch was born Nov. 17, 1914, in Batesville, Texas, the daughter of Thomas Henry Foster and Mary Anna Peace. She married George F. Hatch on May 16, 1934, in Albuquerque, N.M. Mrs. Hatch was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She spent most of her life on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico and developed a great love for the Navajo people.
         She is survived by her seven children, Elgin Strohecker and Reva Duran both of Bayfield, Georgie Ross of Pagosa Springs, Hilda King of Green River, Utah, Bonnie Montano of Las Vegas, N.M., Carl F. Hatch of Berthoud, Alan B. Hatch of Meeker; 46 grandchildren and 125 great-grandchildren.
         She was preceded in death by her husband George F. Hatch on April 19, 1999; her father, Thomas Henry Foster; her mother, Mary Anna Foster; her brother Bonneau Foster; and seven grandchildren.
         Bishop Kent Hoffman presided at funeral service at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Bayfield on July 10, 2000. Burial followed at Pine River Cemetery in Bayfield.
